An added bonus is the tiny, but official, Danelectro instrument catalog which also was thoughtfully packed in. The most important feature that distinguishes the original N-10 from newer offering is the famous Danelectro logo -in raised letters-centered in front of the speaker grill running vertically and supported by, what I call, the "spike." In all other respects the newer model is exactly the same and, of course, comes with that same great vintage sound. The Danelectro logo is plastered all over the box so that you know your getting the real thing-way ba ck 1988.

The unique manual itself is of a booklet form printed on durable stock with the front and rear covers printed in the traditional Danelectro colors while the pages themselves were deliberately arranged with a convincing "nostalgic look" in mind. It just so happens that I am the proud owner of two original (one yellow, never used one aqua, slightly used) HONEYTONE Mini Amps-complete with their original boxes and owners manuals. Now, to be fair, it does come with an actual Danelectro battery installed in it however, the rest of the N-10 is of a "second generation nature," in my opinion.

I wholeheartedly agree with all the positive reviews and all, but it is not a genuine Danelectro product.

MAKE SURE THE POLARITY IS CORRECT! Read full review ALSO, keep your eyes peeled for much cheaper AC adapters that work with this.I found a 9v DC to AC adapter (with the - center/ + outside) for $1,works perfectly. For the price, and it's intended use, I can't complain. But when you crank up the volume you get plenty of background noise. This may be because of my setup, using economy cables, un shielded wires on my pickup, that kind of thing, I don't know. If I had to point out the cons- I'd say the amp has a lot of feedback hum. I appreciated the tone control as most of my instruments don't have one.

It's certainly enough for a portable pocket amp (and yes it does have a beltclip on it). I was pleasantly surprised by the sound of the HomeyTone, it makes a pretty big noise for such a small amp. I'm not a musician, just a builder, so I couldn't see investing in a 'real' amp. Ok,so I bought this because I was building some electric instruments and I needed an inexpensive method of testing them and playing them. Good little amp for the price, I recommend it. Its height, length, and depth are only 5.6 inches by 5.8 inches by 3 inches, respectively, and the weight is only one pound. This guitar mini-amp has a comfortable size to take along traveling. The guitarist can even entertain a crowd with old-style music with this Danelectro guitar amp by adding a vintage effect to the music, bringing the audience back in time as they listen to guitar music through a vintage-style guitar amplifier. For example, if during a birthday party or a street performance a small, portable guitar amplifier is needed that delivers great sound quality, this Danelectro guitar amp is the ideal choice. This guitar amp can be of great use in a number of situations. This guitar mini-amp has a simple, retro style and appearance to it, with its chrome circle around the speaker and the text HONEYTONE superimposed. The small, portable Danelectro Honeytone guitar amp is powered by 9-volt battery, but it can also be connected to a Danelectro DA-1 adapter, which must be plugged in to an AC-powered socket. The vintage tone from this Danelectro guitar amp can also be enjoyed in private, as it has a headphone jack input next to the volume, tone, and overdrive dials. This is a portable guitar mini-amp, so it can be either handheld with the real leather handle or clipped to a belt using the belt clip located on the back of the mini-amp.
